- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Wilkes Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1111 East End Boulevard, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711 has identified a requirement for the preventive maintenance of an on-site Mar Cor Central Dialysis Water Filtration system (reverse osmosis) and three Portable Semper Pure Acute Dialysis units for the period 10 March 2009 through 9 March 2010. All work will be performed at the address listed above. Service will include inspection of water filtration system and portable unit components, cleaning, disinfecting, and replacing consumable items in accordance with the manufacturer specifications. Contractor may or may not be required to perform repairs depending on the extent of the repair and the ability of VA staff to perform the repairs. Contractor is required to hold Mar Cor and/or AAMI training certificates. This is a Sources Sought notice only. The purpose of this notice is to perform market research and determine the extent of available competition among socio-economic groups. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A subsequent solicitation announcement may follow. IAW IL 049-07-08 SDVOSBs and VOSBs will be given, respectively, first and second priority in satisfying this requirement. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 811219. An interested entity that can provide the above service should identify such interest, in writing, to the Contracting Specialist via email (rachel.turk@va.gov) using the title "Hemodialysis Equipment Maintenance" before 12:00 PM local time, Tuesday 3 February 2009.
