Description
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a soles source purchase order to Advanced Technology for Large Structural System Center (ATLSS) for a Co-Sponsorship with the Second International Conference on Fatigue and Fracture of Infrastructure, Bridges and Structures of the 21st Century. ATLSS will support technology transfer activities by featuring various technical presentations/displays for understanding of recent problems and state of the art solutions. ATLSS will provide registration copies of the proceedings to FHWA and State bridge engineers. Additionally, ATLSS will provide a forum for owners, designers, researchers and industry leaders in the field of fatigue and fracture of the civil infrastructure will provide evaluations and maintenance approaches of the highway and railroad steel bridges, sign supports, luminaries and transmissions towers. Because ATLSS organizes their own conference as well as coordinate and are the experts on the study of steel bridges, they are the only known source for this conference. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is February 13, 2009.
