- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) is soliciting proposals for a coordinating center for the distribution of human cadaveric islets for laboratory research. This procurement will support a single coordinating center that subcontracts to qualified islet isolation facilities to prepare and distribute human islets for investigational research. The coordinating center will maintain a roster of investigators approved to receive islets and will assume responsibility to notify investigators and distribute islets when they are available. Contract funds will provide partial cost recovery to islet isolation facilities for islets distributed and investigators that receive them will have cost sharing charges for the islets received. The purpose of this modification is to revise Attachment No.1. Offerors shall submit One (1) original technical and business proposal, five (5) business proposal copies, and fifteen (15) technical proposal copies shall be delivered to: Edward Kostolansky, Contracting Officer 6707 Democracy Blvd., Suite 700W Bethesda, MD 20817 See Attachment No. 1 Revised. The deadline for submission of proposals remains 3:00 EST on February 11, 2009. Email or faxed proposals will not be accepted.
