- The Department of Public Works of Fort Hood Army Installation is seeking qualified Contractors for providing landscaping and grounds maintenance services on the Fort Hood Army Installation, Fort Hood, TX.The requirement shall be proposed commercial services, firm fixed price, and will be competed via 100% set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561730, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million dollars. The period of performance July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 is one base year and four option years. The requirement includes both routine scheduled landscaping and grounds maintenance services. The routine landscaping and grounds maintenance services will include the following activities: Lawn services for maintaining the appearance of lawns, shrubbery, plants, flowers, trees, and other landscape elements. This includes mowing of grass; trimming of hedges and shrubs; pruning trees; weed control and removal; and herbicide application to grass and flowers. The estimated area to be mowed will be 95,000 square acres annually. The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), W91151-09-R-0001, to qualified Contractors on or about February 28, 2009, with a tentative closing date March 20, 2009. The RFP will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and also complete an application of representations and certifications in ORCA via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Offerors proposal shall be submitted electronically. All responsible sources submitting a reasonable proposal shall be considered for award.
