- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This is an intention for sole source to Radiation Solutions, Inc. The RSX-1 Probe will be utilized in conjunction with the RS-700 monitoring system in which the probe is designed specifically to work only with the RS-700 monitoring system. The original purchase of the system in September 08 (P.O. #FA8901-08-M-0109) and the Government requires a second probe to fulfill its mission requirements. This is an intention to purchase this system from a Sole Source. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-27 (effective 15 January 2009) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20081020. FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition. WAWF procedures also apply. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, applies. It is the offeror's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. The delivery date of these items is 2 weeks after receipt of Order (ARO), FOB Destination, Brooks City-Base, TX. The NAICS Code is 334519 the size standard is 500 employees. The type order anticipated is firm-fixed price. The response date of 2:00 PM, Central Time, 5 February 2009.
