- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following:1)Cavalier Communications Multifunctional Secure Gateway System (MSG); QTY: 2; SECRETclearance required to install and setup hardware. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase this item from Computer Sciences Corporation.The authority is FAR 13.106(b)(1) only one source reasonably available.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by theGovernment, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing via fax (301-286-8371), email (Jasmine.N.Jett@nasa.gov) or mail to NASAGSFC, ATTN: Jasmine Jett, CODE 210.3, Bldg. 23/Rm.E439, 8800 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt,MD 20771, no later than 4:30 p.m. ET on 02/09/2009. Such capabilities/qualificationswill be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
