- Description
- The Department of the Interior, National Business Center intends to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) only one responsible source. The contract will be awarded to L-1 Identity Solutions, Inc. to produce a semi-autonomous iris collection, validation, and identification device that will support access control, biometrics and identity verification in a multitude of operational scenarios, both overt and covert that can be utilized as soon as possible at Entry Control Points (ECP) in critical areas. The device will then be integrated with the Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT) application program software which will extend current collection capability and demonstrate ease of integration of the product. The identification device wil utilize the "Daugman Algorith" in it's iris recognition technology.l The anticipated award date of this contract is February 12, 2009.
