Description
AMENDMENT A00002-Revision for Specification on CGC Dallas and CGC Gallatin. Revision on Supplies/Services and Prices/Costs for both vessels. See Attachments. A00001-see continuation sheet The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Proposal (RFP) for Dry Dock and repairs to the to USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716) AND USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721) 378 FOOT HIGH ENDURANCE CUTTERS. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716) and USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721) 378 FOOT HIGH ENDURANCE CUTTERS. The NAICS Code is 336611. The project for the two 378’ High Endurance Cutters (Dallas & Gallatin) will be issued as one solicitation and the Coast Guard may award one or two contracts as a result of the solicitation. The estimated procurement value is more than $10,000,000.00. Contractors will be allowed to submit proposal for one vessel or both vessels. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Request for Proposal (RFP)will be issued as a Full and Open Competition on or about January 09, 2009. The solicitation will be issued electronically via the Federal Business Opportunity web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. The geographic restriction is 600 nautical miles of the vessels homeport of Charleston, SC. The performance period will be One Hundred & Ninety-Three (193) Calendar Days with a start date of 09 February 2009 or as close to that date as possible. A. The scope of the acquisition for the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716), 378 FOOT HIGH ENDURANCE CUTTER is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard.
