- Description
- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in South Africa requires a Nutritionist to provide technical guidance and support to the USAID Health Team in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective programs and interventions related to HIV/AIDS and nutrition. The incumbent will work collaboratively with other USG partners, including OGAC, CDC and NIH, and with South African government counterparts and implementing partners to achieve the goals and objectives of PEPFAR. With a projected fiscal year 2008 budget of nearly $600 million, over 100 prime partners responsible for implementing a broad range of prevention, care, and treatment activities, the PEPFAR South African country program is the largest in the world. The Nutritionist uses independent professional judgment, experience, and skills to plan and carry out assigned program, project or other assignments. The incumbent is responsible for obtaining or performing the full-range of duties and operational activities including: management and technical oversight of HIV/AIDS Partner Organizations; program management responsibilities; project management responsibilities; and monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS activities.
