Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division has a requirement for the design and fabrication of various aircraft components for the Ariel, Cluster Robin, Cluster Snoop and AN/USQ-149 family systems. Requirements under this contract will include, but are not limited to the following areas: 1. PCB design, fabrication, and testing (to include thru-hole and surface mount soldering); 2. Design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of electronic devices (to include analog, digital, and RF); 3. Design, fabrication, and testing of cable harnesses/assemblies (to include analog, digital, and RF); 4. Design and fabrication of rope based maritime entangling devices and nets; 5. Design and fabrication of plastic and fiberglass parts (to include rapid prototyping and injection molding); 6. Painting of metal and plastic parts; 7. Welding and metal fabrication, including custom machined and sheet metal parts and 8. Printed circuit board designs (PCB). An Indefinite Delivery/Ind! efinite Quantity, firm fixed-price type contract will be used for the acquisition of these components and will be for a 5 year period. All deliveries will be to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia. Request For Proposal N00178-09-R-3016 is anticipated to be issued on or about 03 March 2009.
