- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a firm-fixed-price order to Georgia Tech Applied Research (GTRI) Corporation, 505 Tenth Street, Atlanta, GA 30332-0420 on a sole source basis for support in building an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV). GTRI met all criteria to perform the mission, and was selected based on the unique qualifications, capabilities, and experience of its organization. GTRI is a recognized leader in underwater technologies, with engineering programs specifically focused in underwater and maritime robotics, communications, and vehicles. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N61331-08-T-3533. Simplified Acquisition Procedures is the method of award for this procurement. The NAICS code is 541712 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The order shall be firm fixed price with a period of performance of six (6) months from issuance of the order. The expected award date is February 2009. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. Delivery terms for this requirement are FOB Destination. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database. The NSWCPC has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area.
