- The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a sole source (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with SIEMENS WATER TECHNOLOGIES Corp. 12000 Indian Creek Ct. Suite D, Beltsville, MD. 20705. The contractor shall provide preventive maintenance on their equipment purchased by the government. This equipment is sole source manufactured by the company and has limited third party maintenace available on Elga Laboratory Products ( 4 Bowl E-Pure, 4 Bowl Millipore, Ultra BioScienceBarnstead 4 Bowl, Prima-Genetic, Ultra-Genetic, B-Pure 2 Bowl, and Barnstead Diamond) some equipment used is still property of Siemens (the Ultra Analytic and DI Tanks) and cannot be serviced by any third party. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirment is 333999 and the size standard is 500. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 1:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time, January 23, 2009. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
