Description
The Air Education and Training Command (AETC), Randolph Air Force Base (AFB), Texas, hereby publicizes its intention to solicit for non-personal training services to provide Air Advisor training in support of HQ AETC. This Air Advisor training provides just-in-time ground centric training for USAF, DoD, or Department of State personnel in advanced weapons handling, combat lifesaver, enhanced force protection, improvised explosive device (IED) awareness, high threat driving, language, cultural awareness, counterinsurgency, and other Air Advisor ground training. Air Advisor training will support approximately 1,000 expeditionary students annually. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 611699, and the small business size standard is $7 million. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The period of performance will consist of approximately a one-month phase-in period, 11-month basic period, and three one-year option periods. The Government intends to award one firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery requirements contract. The anticipated issue date for the Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or about 04 February 2009, with the anticipated date for receipt of proposals on or about 06 March 2009. The Government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies of documentation will not be made available. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held at the Expeditionary Center, Fort Dix, New Jersey, approximately two weeks after solicitation release and should take no more than one working day.
