Description
This is a request for information only. The Veterans Administration Pittsburgh Healthcare System is seeking sources for maintenance of Motorola Radio equipment for the remainder of Fiscal Year '09 for the following equipment and with the following requirements: 1. 8 Quantar Receivers 2. 4 Quantar Base Stations 3. 3 Digitac Comparators 4. 1 Astrotac Comparator 5. 1 DIU 6. 5 XTL5000 Mobiles 7. 11 CDM750 Mobiles 8. 3 Removals and Installation of Remote Mount Mobile Radios 9. 1 MC2500 Remote at Police Office 10. 1 Astro Spectra Consollette 11. 62 XTS5000 Portables 12. 237 MT2000 Portables 13. 4 Quantar Base Stations 14. 20 XTS5000 Portables (purchased June 2008, Warranty until June 2009 so this is needed only for three months July, Aug and September 2009). Contract service is defined as the inspection, maintenance, and repair of specific radio equipment by the service representative, on such a periodic basis as agreed upon by both the customer and service representative. Services for failures which are not the result of normal wear and tear shall be furnished on a time and material basis. The term "normal wear and tear" is intended to mean failure of the equipment to operate properly as a result of average application under average working conditions. Normal wear and tear shall not include repairs of equipment occasioned by the following problems, 1)Wrecking of a vehicle 2)Damage as a result of an act of god (lighting,.flood, etc.) 3)Operation under abnormal conditions 4)Damage from liquids or condensation 5)Physical. Mistreatment or willful destruction 6)Tampering or servicing by unauthorized individuals 7)Repairs necessitated as a result of the movement of units from one vehicle to another by persons not in the employ of the service representative Contract service shall not include the following 1)Removals or installations 2)Service and maintenance of base station towers, antennas, & transmission lines 3)Motor generators, ups or batteries 4)Portable antennas & batteries 5)Pager batteries 6)Replacement of missing parts 7)CCTV pick-up tubes 8)Service representative will not be responsible for interfering noise to the radio system emanating from ignition system, inter-modulation between systems and co-channel interference Please note that this is a request for information and not a request for proposal.
