- Description
- NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to enter into a sole source delivery order with the Bell-Boeing JPO (BBJPO) for a site surveyof Marine Depot Cherry Point in support of the PSO Valve Tooling Procurement. The site visit is for the purpose of performing a technical evaluation of the facility requirements to install the PSO Valve Tooling. The effort shall include necessary requirements for air, electrical, foundation, hydraulic and any other utilities needed for the PSO Valve Support Equipment installation. Bell Helicopter is the only source that can perform this site survey due to their specific and detailed technical knowledge, engineering expertise, Support Equipment to Aircraft component integration information and technical data on the entire V-22 Aircraft and specifically the PSO valve. The Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office (JPO) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the aircraft. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Section 6.302-1. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
