Description
CORRECTION: SECTION L, PAGE 38 PROVISION 3.2.2.3-63 SITE VISIT: JANUARY 26, 2009, FROM 12:00 P.M. TO 4:00 P.M. CENTRAL TIME. PROPOSAL DUE DATE FEBRUARY 9, 2009, TIME DUE BY 4:30 P.M. EST. New ductbank along with power & fiber optic cabling is to be installed for remote facilities on the airfield as part of the ongoing relocation of the FAA Terminal Radar Control (Tracon) facility @ PNS P31. In accordance with FAA dwg series P31-D-113790, contractor shall construct approximately 7865 lf of 1 way 4" ductbank, 11,385 lf of 2w4 ductbank, and 1100 lf of 4w4 ductbank, connecting these to prior-installed directional bores/innerducts under taxiways & runways. All cables and manholes (39) will be Government-Furnished Material (GFM) for contractor's installation. In addition, new transformers (4), sectionalizers (2), and load break cabling assemblies will be GFM for contractor's installation. Contractor shall be responsible for pouring new pads, terminating/testing new power cables, and cutting over power; fiber optic cables however will be spliced/terminated by FAA at the completion of this work. Contractor shall also be responsible for upgrading grounding @ several of the remote facilities and for identifying all duct/cabling routes with GFM electronic marker balls. All work will be carried out inside the Airport Operations Area (AOA), much of this within safety areas requiring scheduled taxiway & runway closures. THIS PROJECT IS TOTAL SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES.
