- COMMERCIAL ITEM: The project consists of hoedad planting at a 14’X 14’ spacing, steep slopes (70-90%), and variable aspects, an area that was burned by wildfire in 2007. Access is limited with some one hour plus walk in times. The Solicitations Project Data Sheet will show those areas. Trees will be flown in to units 5,6,7, and 8, weather permitting. The map in the solicitation will show helispot locations. It is the purpose of this contract to secure services for planting Government-furnished tree and/or shrub seedlings. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary to plant tree and/or shrub seedlings on the areas specified. Project is located on the Emmett Ranger District of the Boise National Forest; NAICS code: 115112. Size Standard: $7.0 million. Estimated start date for the planting is April 04, 2009, with 21 calendar days contract time. Actual start work date will be dependent on spring snowmelt. Project is 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside.
