- This Pre-solicitation notice is to advertise that the Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center has a requirement for performing the annual check and certification of backflow preventers. The primary purpose of this notice is to improve small business access to acquisition information and enhance competition by identifying contracting and subcontracting opportunities. VA-250-09-RQ-0075 for commercial services will be issued on or about January 15, 2009 with a closing date on or about January 16, 2009. THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. The North American Industrial code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220 ($13.0 million per Annum). This will be a Firm Fixed Price, contract. Contractor shall be required to provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, lodging and supervision necessary to check and certify sixteen (16) backflow preventers ranging in size from ten (10) inches to two (2) inches. The test/inspection services shall be performed at the VA Medical Center, Wade Park Facility, 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio 44106. The expected period of performance is the date of award through September 30, 2009, with four pre-priced option years. Telephone or faxed requests for information pertaining to this solicitation will not be accepted, nor will electronic bids. Offerors are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments. Responses to this pre-solicitation notice will not sufficient, an offeror must respond to the solicitation. Please include solicitation number in the email subject line. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration, www.ccr.gov to do business with the Government.
