- The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking qualified general contractors for the Iowa Job Corps Center located in Ottumwa, Iowa. We are looking for general contractors that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your response, please indicate under which programs you meet the criteria. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are small businesses with capabilities and experience. The project involves construction of a New Center. The center will include a Welcome Center (1,516 GSF), Administration/Wellness Center (11,212 GSF), Educational/Vocational Center (28,393 GSF), Kitchen/Cafeteria/Warehouse Facility (13,183 GSF), two 2-story Dormitory Buildings (60,128 GSF), and a Recreational/Gymnasium Facility (19,913 GSF). The project also includes site development of an approximately 27-acre site including utility installations, site/security, lighting, sidewalks/walkways, roadways, parking areas and landscaping at the Iowa Job Corps Center, Ottumwa, Iowa. The estimated cost range of construction is over $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220 ( Commercial and Institutional Building Construction), and the Small Business Standard is $33.5 Million. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to Ms. Monica C.
