Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with OPEX Corporation, 305 Commerce Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057, for the maintenance of OPEX Rapid Extraction Desk, Model 51, two each and Sorter Model MPS 40, one each, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1), as the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. OPEX utilizes proprietary service diagnostic software covered by patents and copyrights that has not been released to any third party sources. SSA anticipates the award of a firm fixed price purchase order for the maintenance performance period of March 2009 thru March 2010. SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responses to this notice should be submitted by January 30, 2009. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
