- The Federal Aviation Administration is soliciting competitive offers for the supply and delivery of fuel for FAA facilities located at Sitka, Ketchikan and Fredericks Point, Alaska, USA. Deliveries are required from the date of award to December 31, 2009, with the option to extend the contract to December 31, 2013 according to the terms outlined within the solicitation. DOT/FAA anticipates award of a separate firm fixed price contract. Response to the solicitation is required by 2:00 pm, Alaska Time, January 21, 2009. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments are available on-line at http://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm, or via written request to the Contracting Officer. All interested sources should first attempt to download the solicitation from the internet. If downloading is not possible, all requests for a copy of the solicitation should be submitted in writing either via facsimile (907-271-2326), or via e-mail to: sharon.padilla@faa.gov. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
