- The 36th Contracting Squadron INTENDS TO MAKE A SOLE-SOURCE AWARD to Ingersoll-Rand Company for parts to repair a Cyrogenic Production Plant. This requirement is in support of an existing Ingersoll-Rand cryogenic production plant in Guam. This award will consist of 450 hp motors, gear sets, and other parts for repair of the production plant. The items in question have unique specifications and are proprietary to Ingersoll-Rand Company, Under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b) and 13.501, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The authority to award under other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Interested parties are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience and data pertinent to their ability to provide the same equipment for use in this project that meet this requirement no later than 16 JAN 2009 at 12:00 pm (ChSt (GMT +10)). Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firms capability to provide the required equipment. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of an evaluation of the information received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in the Contracting Officers assessment of capable sources. The size limitation for email attachments is five megabytes per individual email message. Only email responses will be permitted. If after 16 JAN 2009 at 12:00 pm (ChSt (GMT +10)) no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, the Contracting Officer shall initiate a contract award solely to Ingersoll-Rand Company.
