Description

The Southern Plains Area for the Agricultural Research Service, of the U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to issue an award to Earline Strickland, 285 Somerset Dr, Jackson, Mississippi 39206. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations (RFQ) for competition. This is a simplified acquisition. The contractor will provide recruitment and research promotion services for the Delta Obesity Prevention Research Unit by: identifying collaborative elementary schools in the states of Arkansas and Louisiana willing to conduct research with the USDA, ARS; scheduling and holding meetings with school administrators, superintendents, parents of students to take part in the study; and ultimately recruiting 400 focus group/nominal group/cognitive interview participants which will consist of 5th graders and their parents.
