- VA VISN 08 NF/SG VHS, Gainesville, Florida intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Dako North America, Inc., 6392 Via Real, Carpinteria, CA 93013-2921, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-24. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain the Dako Artisan Stainer System, reagents and consumable supplies for the Department of Veterans Affairs NF/SG VHS, VAMC, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, Florida 32608. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for one (1) base year, with four (4), one (1) year options. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability. All inquiries received by the Government by 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, January 12, 2009, may be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
