- This Notice is a follow-up to Special Notice Number: NB193000-9-111408. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) will host a Market Research Information Session for the following Facility Support Services: A) Painting, B)Moving, C) Carpet Removal/Installation, D) Rigging, and E) Door Replacement, on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. NIST is seeking a Question and Answer forum with Small Business sources, regarding these services. This notice is pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10.0002 (Market Research). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This conference is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of the Market Research Information Conference attendance. The conference is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for quotes and proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for/or award a competitive contract. Unless otherwise stated herein, no solicitation regarding this announce is available. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the FEDBIZOPPS. It is the potential sources responsibility to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS site for release of any solicitation or synopsis resulting from this conference. The National Institute of Standards and Technology will provide historical information on the services mention above, during the conference. Specifically, NIST is interested in learning more about potential Small Business capabilities to support individual contracts for: Painting, Moving, Carpet Removal/Installation, Rigging, and Door Replacement services on the Gaithersburg, MD campus. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTENDANCE: If you are interested in attending this conference please contact Jasmine Runkles via email at jasmine.runkles@nist.gov. Upon contact please specify the name of your company, the persons whom will attend, and identify their country of citizenship. No more than two persons from the same company. All responses for attendance MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 3:00PM ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16, 2009. IF YOU ARE NOT A UNITED STATES CITIZEN, YOUR RESPONSE FOR ATTENDANCE MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 3:00PM ON MONDAY, JANUARY 14, 2009. NO EXCEPTIONS SHALL BE MADE. The Conference will be held in the Green Auditorium of Building 101 on the NIST, Gaithersburg, MD campus (address below). No entry to the NIST campus will be permitted after 10:15am. Please allow AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES OR MORE TO CHECK IN AT THE VISITOR CENTER (IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED). Acceptable ID’s: State Driver’s License or Passport.
