- Description
- The intent of the project is to remove and replace domestic water booster pumps in the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building at 477 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI. The project includes but is not limited to the following work: removal of the existing high and low-rise domestic water booster pumps and appurtances, removal of the existing booster pump control cabinets, installation of new high and low-rise booster pump packages with hydro-pneumatic tanks for each pump package, connection of the new booster pump packages to the existing building energy management system. The duration of the project is 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor working hours shall be generally established to occur during normal business hours, however portions of the work shall be completed on weekends or outside normal business hours. The estimated price of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and open to all business concerns. NAICS is 238220 with a size standard of $14 million. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for February 3, 2009 (actual information will be contained in the solicitation).The solicitation will be available on or about January 20, 2009 (actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation.) Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation from FedBizOpps and for monitoring the same system for amendments and/or additional information. Small business concerns, including HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, disadvantaged and women owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
