Description
SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 006- The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the description/specifications in addition, correctly addressing the vendor's question and previous answer given in Question 4. Solicitation closing date remain 5 January 2009, 1:00PM (EST). Only accepting offers/quotes: REQUIREMENT/SPECIFICATION: CLIN 0001, Quantity: 161,000 rounds; Description:.223 CAL Ammunition, Commercial.223 spec ammunition in commercial brass is required 69-Grain. SHALL be Brand Name Only, Sierra Match King; velocity 2850 FPS, Sierra Match King 69 Grain is required due to the weight, type, dimension, charge and accuracy of this ammunition. Muzzle velocity shall not exceed 2850 fps, energy should be 1245 Ft. Lbs. Ammunition is used in a Sniper System Weapon and accuracy is of utmost importance, therefore, charge weights should be consistent for accuracy. A non urban environment is where this ammunition will be stored and utilized, shellacking is of high importance. Cartridges should be WATER RESISTANT only, water proofing is not required. Ammunition will be used and stored in a jungle type environment. Open Tip Match (OTM) and Boat Tailed ammunition is required. Ammunition shall be American-made. NEW ONLY. NO REFURBISHED. NO RE-MANUFACTURED. Destination shall be Fort Bragg, NC 28307. PARTIAL SHIPMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. Packaging 20-30 rounds per cardboard box, with individual inner package and outer package; shipped on wooden pallets with approximately 25,000 rounds per pallet is acceptable Mil-spec packaging is highly preferred, if unable to provide Mil-spec packaging, commercial-spec packaging is acceptable. Question 5: Would delivery within ninety days ARO be permissible? We have immediate stock of 50,000 rounds that are available to ship. Or would the 50,000 immediately available be delivered, with the remaining delivered with in ninety days or sooner? Please advise, thank you. A: Delivery of the full amount within 90 days ARO as is stated in the Vendor question will have to suffice. 50,000 rounds to begin with will not be sufficient. AMENDMENT 005- This amendment is to extend the solicitation closing date to 05 January 2009, 1:00PM (EST), from 30 December 2008, 1:00PM(EST), to answer vendors questions and clarify description/specifications. All questions shall be submitted in writing in no later than 30 December 2008, 4:00PM(EST).
