- The Transportation Security Administration, Office of Acquisition intends to solicit on a combination fixed price / time and materials basis to provide complete furniture management services including but not limited to comprehensive support for the design, installation, reconfiguration, relocation and increasing/downsizing of TSA furniture within leased spaces at approximately 460 field locations. The desired outcome is a process to maximize the efficient re-utilization of government furniture as well as timely repairs, replacement, reconfiguration, and supplemental additions to the installed furniture base nationwide. The company must have a capability to provide these tasks on a national basis including Alaska, Hawaii, and U. S. Territories without voiding the warranty on the currently installed base of Steelcase furniture. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 423210. The acquisition is being pursued as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside on a competitive basis. The resulting contract term will be from the date of award for 12 months with four (4) one-year option periods. A detailed statement of work containing performance requirements will be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about January 6, 2009 via modification and upload to this Pre-Solicitation Notice. The anticipated award date is April 20, 2009. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in accordance with the solicitation, which shall be considered by the Agency. All responsible sources must be registered in the Online Representations and Certification Application (ORCA) and Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to include corporate banking information. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal.
