- The Department of Veterans Affairs is awarding a sole source contract under Citations: 10 U.S.C. 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) shown at FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award and negotiate with only one source under this authority. Follow on contractor, George Washington University, Office of Research Services; 2121 I Street NW. Suite 601 Washington DC 20052 General Description: The support is necessary to maximize and finalize previous development of emergency management training material accomplished by using GWU's expertise and work completed in two previous contracts issued by the Veterans Affair's EMSHG training management. The Delivery Schedule is 275 Calendar days and intended to be completed by September 30, 2009. Numbered note 22: The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days (considered commercial item services) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
