- Desc: NSN: 1240-01-254-6344, P/N: 9377911. The item to procure is a Cell, Optical Element, for the M1 Abrams. Material; Objective Crown Lens P/N: 12278951; Objective Flint Lens P/N: 12278952; Filter P/N: 9377905; Lens Cell P/N: 12278973; Lens Spacers P/N: 12278959-1 & 2; Lens Retainer P/N: 12278974 and Preformed Packing MS29513-136. FOB destination. This item is for use on the M1 Series Tank. NOTE: The Cell, Optical Element includes a Classified Drawing. Contractors MUST have a Secret Clearance to obtain drawing 9377925. Form 254, Department of Defense, Contract Security Classification Specification, contractors requesting Classified Drawing 9377925 must complete and return the DD Form 254 for approval per instructions to be found in Section A, page 2 of the solicitations narrative. Estimated issue date is 15 Jan 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102 (a) (7) and 14.205-1 (c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
