- Description
- The Government is interested in obtaining information regarding sources to provide equipment and services to expand the US Army Topographic Engineering Centers (TEC) Integration and Evaluation Center (IEC) network switching capability to support TECs Research and Development (R&D) needs. The IEC will need the following capabilities in each of the following rooms: Room 750 Core switching requirement 10Gbe connectivity (To Edge) 10/100/1000 Base-T 100/1000 Base-X Fiber Redundancy Power Edge User Quads (Areas) 10/100/1000 10Gbe Connectivity to Core Base-T Redundant Power Room 750F Core TEC "160 ports 10/100/1000 Base-T "20 ports 100/1000 Base Fiber "8 ports of 10Gbe "16 slot chassis with room for 5 modules 20 + 10Gbe 100 ports 10/100/1000 100 ports 100/1000 Rooms U11, U3, U7, U5 "Total port count 96 ports 10/100/1000 10 Gbe connectivity to Core Room 713 "48 ports 10/100/1000 "10Gbe Connectivity to Core 750 Rooms 750-I/J "48 ports 10/100/1000 Base-T "48 ports 100/1000 Base Fiber "2 ports 10 Gbe Rooms 900 "POE Upgradeable "48 ports 10/100/1000 Base-T "1 Gbe connectivity to Core 750 Room 1010 "144 ports 10/100/1000 Base-T "8 ports 10Gbe for connectivity to: Blade Servers Isilon Switches RM801 100/200/300/400/1100 Areas "Full redundancy "Expansion for: 192 ports 10/100/1000 32 ports 10Gbe Rooms 100/200/300/400/1100 Area 144 10/100/1000 Base-T Connections 10Gbe connectivity to RM1010 Core/Distro RX-16 The additional switching capability must be compatible to the IECs current configuration that supports Layer 2/3 Backbone and LAN environments that deliver up to 3.84 Terabits per second of backplane switching capacity. It has to be able to support several hundred non-blocking Gigabit Ethernet ports at a peak performance of up to 1.14 Billion packets per second, be able to support non-stop operation, supporting 1:1 management module redundancy, N+1 switch module redundancy, M+N power module redundancy and N+1 fan redundancy and be able to support several 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports over the back bone.
