- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for 7250 lbs of Navy qualified AA-26 Rubber compound 314-1192 Mod 23 (Burke rubber compound NXA- 5126) to be used for the manufacture of submarine tiles. To meet this requirement NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with Burke Industries Inc.,2250 South Tenth Street San Jose CA 95112-4197. The Burke Industries rubber compound NXA-5126 product has previously undergone the required first article performance testing requirements and certified by the Navy for use with this specific application and is available to meet the required delivery date of 30 January 2009. Award of a firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition procedures.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however all responsible sources submitting quotes within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
