Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Omaha, NE, VISN 23, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine for the "Healing our Wounded Warriors" program for integrative trauma healing for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan created and presented by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, 5225 Connecticut Ave., NW, Suite 414, Washington, DC 20015. This workshop will serve as a training session for faculty to expand on previously learned Post Traumatic Stress Disorder treatment strategies. There are two line items to this procurement: CLIN001: 5-day training workshop to be conducted for 26 participants to continue the initial training they received in PTSD provided in October 2008 at the Minneapolis (MN) VA Medical Center. CLIN002: Four clinicians in six groups will meet one time per week for 16 weeks to provide consultative services. The Period of Performance for this procurement will be from the date of award through September 30, 2009. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 611430 with a standard size of $6.5 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 5 calendar days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax 402-449-0612. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
