- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Maryland (NSWC-IH) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Bruker AXS Inc for an X-ray Diffraction System. The procurement consists of the following: fully automatic single crystal x-ray diffractometer, CCD detector, 4-axis goniometer, integrated color video microscope, x-ray generator, compatible power supply, interface for small molecules, structure determination package, autostructure and phase identification plug-ins, cryosteam device with automatic refill, single pump water-to-air refrigerated heat exchanger, goniometer head, and on-site training following unit set-up. The unit will allow for simultaneous data collection using copper and molybdenum radiation sources necessary to collect complete crystallographic data sets on various materials. The unit features 4-circle sample configuration, which helps collect additional key data.The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334517. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) code is 6635. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1). See Note 22.
