- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Leavenworth, intends to issue a solicitation for Medication Administration Services to support the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB), located at Ft. Leavenworth KS. The overall scope of this procurement will include the following: the contractor shall be responsible for all facets of receiving, storage, security, tracking, distribution, administration, termination and disposal of medication for USDB inmates and any other inmates domiciled in the USDB. Performance of these services will require contractor performance 24 hours per day, throughout the contract year. All contractor employees who are performing work under any resultant contract shall be required to work within the USDB and shall be required to submit to a USDB security/criminal background check. Contractor personnel shall be required to have and maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Contractor shall maintain the following immunizations at all times: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and tested for Tuberculosis. All contractor employees shall possess and maintain current professional licenses or certification appropriate to their education, training and assigned duties. All such licenses or certifications shall be authorized and provided by the State of Kansas. Contractor performance shall be subject to the conditions of a variety of Department of Defense and Department of the Army regulations which will be detailed in any resultant solicitation. The Government anticipates a solicitation release date on or about 9 January 2009 through Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) website. A single award of a Firm Fixed-Price contract is anticipated and award will be made to the offeror who provides a proposal that best meets the Governments requirement. All requirements, evaluation criteria, basis for contract award and proposal due date will be provided as part of the solicitation. The anticipated period of performance will consist of a one-year base period of performance. This procurement is set-aside 100% for Small Business concerns only; under NAICS Code 621399 and who meet the small business size standard of $7 Million. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available at the Government wide Point of Entry at http://www.fbo.gov/ and https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Requests for printed copies of the solicitation will not be accepted.
