- The NASA Johnson Space Center is planning to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) forthe Information Technology and Multimedia Services (ITAMS) contract at the Johnson SpaceCenter. This contract will merge requirements under the current JSC InformationManagement and Media Services (JIMMS) contract and the JSC Enabling Technology andSecurity (JETS) contract as well as information technology requirements on other JSCcontracts. Products and services provided by this contract are required for general informationtechnology and multimedia services supporting NASAs human space flight programs,exploration and science programs and the Johnson Space Center institutional operations.Major activities include:IT Applications Services including full system life cycle support for new and existingapplication capabilities as well as database and database product administration.Information Management Services including document and data managementLibrary and Multimedia Repository ManagementWriting, Editing and Graphics Multimedia Engineering, Installation, Maintenance, Operations and ServicesPublic Affairs Multimedia ServicesExternal Relations, Information and CommunicationsFacility Management of IT Support FacilityGeneral IT Systems ManagementIT Network and Security ServicesFinancial Systems SupportAn ITAMS Industry Day is planned for this procurement.JSC is hereby soliciting firms toattend on January 20-21, 2009 at the NASA Johnson Space Center Gilruth Recreation Center. The presentation to industry will be held on January 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.in the Alamo Ballroom.One-on-one communications opportunities will be scheduled from 1p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on January 20 and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on January 21st in ameeting room at the Gilruth Center. Goals: The goals of Industry Day are to:1.Promote competition on the proposed Information Technology and MultimediaServices Contract. 2.Develop industry understanding of the Governments current vision and objectivespertaining to the contract. 3.Allow NASA/JSC to utilize industry input to improve the ITAMS RFP. Sign-up Requirements:Industry Day is open to all firms: both companies that have performed work at JSC andthose that have not performed work and are interested in pursuing contractingopportunities.All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Industry is requested to RSVP by close of business on Monday, January 12, 2009, by e-mailto the Source Board Secretary, Nancy Capra, at JSC-ITAMS-SEB@mail.nasa.gov. Attendanceis limited to two attendees per company. The RSVP request shall include the followinginformation:1.In the subject line of your e-mail note: ITAMS Industry Day RSVP.2.Point of contacts name, company, address, and phone number. 3.Names and titles of attendees (limited to two) attending from your company. Questions and Answers (Q&A) for Industry DayIndustry Day will focus on the understanding of the Governments current contractrequirements at NASA/JSC. It is the Government's intention to post the Draft Statementof Work (SOW) in the near future. If posted prior to industry day, discussion of futurecontract requirements will be limited to the Draft Statement of Work which will be postedon the ITAMS web site at: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/itams/default.asp Comments regarding the Draft SOW would be appreciated. A Q&A period will follow the presentation. Questions may be answered, but keep in mindthat this event is an open exchange with industry and no answers given will be consideredofficial. A draft Request for Proposal (RFP) is planned to be released. After its release NASA/JSCwill hold a pre-proposal conference. This will allow industry to ask questions specificto the draft RFP. Industry will then be requested to submit questions in writing so thatthe Government may officially respond. One-on-One Communications with Industry:To facilitate open communications with industry, personnel will be available forone-on-one meetings in conjunction with Industry Day. An individual company or a group of businesses planning to team or subcontract mayattend; however, each company is limited to two participants. Meetings will not exceed 25minutes in length.Scheduling of appointment times are on a first-come, first- served basis. Appointmentswill be scheduled in 25-minute increments between 1:00 4:30 p.m. on January 20, 2009. Should the number of firms requesting a one-on-one exceed the allotted time on the 20th,additional one-on-ones may be held on the following day, January 21, 2009. Appointmenttimes after the Industry Day will be contingent on the availability of personnel.However, we will attempt to schedule your meeting as quickly as possible to preventunnecessary delays.
