Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to solicit and award on an open market basis for a network storage capability in support of Defense Peronsal Property System (DPS) Phase III. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-29, dated 14 November 2008. This acquistion will be processed under Simplified Acquisiton Procedures (SAP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334611 and the small business size is 500 employees. United States Transportation Command, Scott AFB, IL 62255-5357 intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for a Network Storage System in support of Defense Personal Property System (DPS), Phase III. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and materials to install and configure all components in building 1575 at Scott AFB, IL in accordance with the salient characteristics described in CLINS 0001 and 0002. FOB Destination. Delivery location is the Joint Program Management Office, Household Goods at 502 Ward Drive, Bldg. 1930, Scott AFB, IL 62225. Installation will be in building 1575 located on West Losey St., Scott AFB, IL between the hours of 0800-1600 Monday through Friday. The successful contractor will be required to report to building 1930 and will be escorted to building 1575. Required delivery is 30 Jan 09 with installation complete by 6 Feb 09. The Government’s budgeted amount is approximately $249,000.00. Offers in excess of this amount will not be considered for award. Award will be made to the lowest price technially acceptable offeror. (CLIN 0001): Tape Storage: Tape backup solution for approximately 6000GB1 with a max run time of 8hrs (tape drive standard solution should conform to either AIT-5 or LTO); 30 Days of Tapes + Cleaning Tapes; Software required to write to the tape drives. (CLIN 0002) Network Storage Requirements: Disk Storage Space: 13,000GB Usable as follows: SAN VMFS-3, 360GB, 18 ea, total GB 6,480 (Oracle DB); SAN VMFS-3, 150GB, 1 EA, total GB150 (Master Template); NFS, 5,120GB, 1 EA, Total GB5,120 (Backup); SAN SQL-server, 146GB, 2 EA, Total GB292 (Native Write desired);SAN SQL-server,360GB, 2 EA, Total GB720 (Native Write desired); Notes on disk storage space: - Array should be able to perform at sustained minimum of 50MB/sec; - All LUNs presented to the system RAID 5 or 6 ; RAID-10 is the desired redundancy; - Storage array with at least four host ports and redundant controllers; -Fibre Channel Array should run at 4 Gb/sec per host port, non-oversubscribed; - Shall Support: QLogic QLE2460, Single Channel, 4 Gbps, Optical, Fibre Channel HBA, PCIe and Qlogic 2462 Dual Channel 4GB Optical Fiber Channel HBA, PCIe. Attidtional network Storage requirements: 1) Software to support Hot Image backups to NFS mounts; 2) All Part pieces to rack equipment must be compatible with 19” Martin rack; rails; rail-kits; patch cables ; 3) Redundant (two) SAN connections for each server with fibre cards; 4) Fibre Channel Switch (28) connections minimum - Breakdown of fiber channel switches. (the below items are already resident with the existing environment – do not provide quotes for these): (6) 1950s x 2 = 12; (2) 2970s (DB Servers) x 2 = 4; (6) 2950s x 2 = 12; Grand total of (28) connections; Six VM ESX machines are part of the environment with 22 Virtual Servers each. Each VM machine will be sized to support 175 concurrent users with est IOPs requirement of 150-200; Oracle DB on Solaris 10 Two SQL Server Machines. (CLIN 0003) Installation and configuration (CLIN 0004) Maintenance on hardware/software 24 months.
