Description
This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought notice for the Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources for providing registered nurse services and does not commit the government to issue a solicitation or make an award. The description herein is a summary of the required services and is not intended to be all-inclusive. Please note the acquisition strategy for this procurement has not been finalized and is subject to change based on the responses received from the Sources Sought notice. Requirement Description: The Philadelphia VAMC has an on-going need for registered nurse (RN) services on as needed basis. The employees provided by the contractor shall meet the following requirements: licensed in any state, living within the local commuting area, posses a minimum of 2 years RN experience in the area assigned, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification depending on area of assignment and Sedation Certification if assigned at the GI and Interventional Radiology. The RNs provided by the contractor shall provide or complete the following prior to begin working at the VAMC: a resume, transcripts, physical examination including PPD, social security card, picture identification, and proof of citizenship. These services will support existing staff and provide coverage for special situations, short staff, or to meet urgent and compelling needs. The place of performance will be all areas of the Philadelphia VAMC including ED, ICU, Med/Surgery, Rehabilitation, Telemetry, Dialysis, Behavioral Health and GI and Interventional Radiology. Contractor shall be paid only for actual hours worked on-site. List the nurse specialty services your company has provided over the last three years. 4. Geographic Coverage: Do you have a pool of qualified candidates in the local commuting area? 5. References: Provide a list of all private industry or government contracts for similar services that you have performed during calendar years 2006 through 2008. Please include the customer's names, addresses, telephone number, dollar value of contract, and brief description of the services provided on the contract. 6. Applicable to Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Contract Holders only: If you have an FSS contract for FSC 621I Professional and Allied Healthcare Staffing Services, provide a copy of the summary pages from your FSS Schedule contract (i.e. showing contract number, effective dates, contractor information, ordering information, business size, DUNS number, Tax I.D. number, etc.) The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein.
