Description
Description/SpecificationsThe US Army is conducting an industry survey of interested sources for Aviation Suppport Services to be performed at United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG). No award will be made as a result of this synopsis nor are any solicitation materials available. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) has been provided for industry review and comment. The PWS may change significantly as a result of higher level reviews/approvals as well as feedback from industry. The USAYPG is located in the far southwest corner of the state of Arizona and is across the Colorado River from California and approximately twenty two miles north of Mexico. USAYPGs physical location lies entirely within Yuma and La Paz counties in Arizona. Federal land surrounds most of the installation and consists of approximately 1300 sq. miles of rugged terrain. The mission of USAYPG is to provide test and evaluation services to the United States Army, Department of Defense and commercial developers of military systems to include other test ranges. The potential offerers augments the operation, maintenance and servicing of aircraft at Laguna Army Airfield (LAAF) and provides Aviation Services for aviation customers. LAAF presently operates and maintains four (4) UH-1H helicopters as instrumentation platforms, two (2) O2-An airplanes in support of the Bio-Chem Joint Project Office and two (2) CASA 212 airplanes in support of the SOCOM high altitude paradrop school. Information requested includes commercial methodologies and practices relative to the above aviation services, including contract type(s), challenges to successful acquisitions and current industry standards, processes and practices (e.g. terms and conditions, warranties, financing, etc.). Submissions will be accepted only in writing and should be submitted to Mr. Roger Saw, Mission and Installation Contracting CMD Center, Yuma. 301 C Street, BLDG 2100, Yuma Arizona 85365-9498. Interested sources shall provide all questions and feedback no later than 12:00PM Noon MST on February 5, 2009.
