- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Program Chemicals Division of the Office of Prevention, Pesticides, and Toxic Substances, is conducting a sources sought for information purposes only, to determine whether 8(a) small-disadvantaged business capability exists to support this requirement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Under the North American Industry Classification System Code 541519, the EPA is in search of 8(a) small-disadvantaged businesses to provide to assist the agency in administering the Federal abatement program, which ensures that individuals conducting lead-based paint inspections, risk assessments, and abatements in target housing and child-occupied facilities are properly trained and certified, and that training programs providing instruction in such activities are accredited (Title IV of the Toxic Substances Control Act). EPA is also responsible for administering the Federal renovation, repair, and painting program, which ensures that individuals conducting regulated renovation activities in target housing and child-occupied facilities are properly trained, that renovation firms are certified, and that training programs providing instruction in such activities are accredited. The Draft SOW is posted on the following website: http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/oppts_grp/0910591/index.htm. The resultant contract is anticipated to be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with Fixed Price Line Items, and to have a twelve (12) month base period with the possibility of four twelve (12) month option periods. Work will be ordered through the issuance of task orders. The contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the SOW. Interested 8(a) small businesses should provide the EPA with appropriate documentation (i.e., a detailed capability statement and/or relevant past performance history documenting its ability to perform similar SOW requirements). Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should be no longer than ten (1) pages and mailed to : U.S. EPA, Program Contract Service Center, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Attn: Ms. Sharon Hargrove, (3803R), Washington, DC 20460. Packages mailed via courier services shall be sent to the following mailing address: U.S. EPA, Program Contract Service Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Attn: Ms. Sharon Hargrove, Room 71247, Washington, DC 20004. Firms shall ensure responses are documented to the extent the government can determine the firms qualifications to perform this requirement.
