- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has a requirement for 400 units of Lead Chill Shot #8 in 25-lb poly-nylon bags with secondary containment in reinforced ballistic bags. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. FEDBIZOPPS shall be the method of posting this solicitation. All prospective offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of amendments (if any) or other information pertaining to this solicitation. Solicitation Number H92222-09-Q-0001 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order and incorporates provisions and clauses listed below and those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-29, dated 14 Nov 2008. The NAICS code is 331491, the Small Business Standard is 750 Employees, and this acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. Description of Items Requested: CLIN 0001 Chill Lead Shot #8, in individual 25 lb poly-nylon bags; 400 each __________ USSOCOM has a requirement for lead ballast to test the full load capability of craft. The lead must be in small units in order to be distributed throughout the craft simulating various load configurations for testing. Product or Manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheet to be included. CLIN 0002 Ballistic Bags; 400 ea __________ Each bag must be capable of carrying 25 pounds of lead shot to be used for maritime ballasting. For safety and environmental concerns, the lead ordered in CLIN 0001 must be contained within a reinforced ballistic bag. This secondary containment also ensures limited exposure to lead dust, which is the primary concern for safety. Each bag must provide an anchor point for safe stowage and handling. CLIN 0003 Shipping; 1 Lot __________ Mark package(s) for shipment to: HQ USSOCOM/Development Cell 8406 Marina Bay Drive, Bldg 847 Tampa, FL 33621 Each quote shall contain a manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheet in accordance with FAR 52.223-3 Hazardous Material Identification and Material Safety Data. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov ) to receive award of a purchase order and the method of payment is via Wide Area Work Flow. One firm-fixed price award is anticipated for all items based on lowest price and delivery date. All responsible concerns may submit a quote that will be considered by this agency.
