- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has a requirement for.40 Smith & Wesson (S&W) caliber ammunition (135 grain). The NAICS code for this procurement is 332992. The projected date for the issuance of the solicitation is on or about January 7, 2009. ICE intends to procure on an unrestrictive basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The government anticipates awarding multiple Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts. All contractors submitting a response to the solicitation will be required to submit 4,000 rounds of ammunition for qualification testing. The ordering period of any resultant contract(s) will be one (1) base year with four (4) option years. The anticipated award date is March 2009. The distribution of the resulting solicitation will be accomplished solely through the FedBizOpps website. Hard copies of the solicitation documents will not be available; therefore, no written, telephone, or facsimile requests for the documents will be accepted. The FedBizOpps site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including the solicitation and any amendments, will be distributed solely through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps site to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors submitting a quotation are reminded that registration in the Central Contraction Registration (CCR) database (www.ccr.gov) is mandatory to be considered for award.
