- On December 10, 2008, a synopsis notice was issued to advise offerorsof the US Department of Energys requirement for operation of two conversion facilities at Paducah, Kentucky and Portsmouth, Ohio. These facilities will convert DOEs inventory of depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) to a more stable chemical form. This notice also advised offerors that a draft RFP consisting of Section B, C, L and M would be issued for comment in the first quarter of 2009. This notice hereby advises offerors that Sections B, C, L and M have already been posted to DOEs website and can be viewed at http://www.emcbc.doe.gov/DUF6/index.html. As a reminder, offerors should access this website frequently for updated information related to this procurement.
