Description
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ISSUED ONLY TO CONDUCT A MARKET RESEARCH STUDY FOR AN ANTICIPATED MILITARY PROGRAM. The Seattle District Corps of Engineers is currently seeking sources that might be interested in participating in a competition for a contract for the Design-Bid-Build of a Chemical Battalion Complex, located at Fort Lewis, Washington. The scope of the facility includes headquarters with classrooms, operation facilities with covered hardstand, administrative facility with Sensitive Compartmented Information System (SCIF), controlled humidity warehouse, organizational vehicle parking, small vehicle maintenance shop, organizational unit storage, Intrusion Detection System (EDS) installation, connection to energy Sustainable Design and Development (SDD) and Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct05) features. The scope of the requirement is anticipated to involve a magnitude of construction $25M TO $100M. The primary purpose of this notice is for the Government to ascertain the level of competition from qualified and interested prime contractors. Interest in this announcement is unrestricted to both large and small businesses located within the United States. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS for this POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT: Responses to this sources sought request shall provide the prime contractors name, address, phone number and email address. Interested firms must provide a brief capabilities narrative indicating your firms experience with similar-type construction, bonding capacity (to include individual bonding limit and aggregate bonding limit), your firms bonding capability and your firms interest in the anticipated contract. Responses to this potential sources sought request must be forwarded to the attention of Rose Bailey, Contract Specialist, by email to Roselyn.bailey@us.army.mil or via mail to: Seattle District Corps of Engineers, PO Box 3755, Seattle, WA 98124-2324. Responses should be received as soon as possible, but no later than 15 January 2009. Note: Responses to this POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST will be used by the Government to help make appropriate acquisition planning decisions. A solicitation is currently not available. Responses to this POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST will not constitute any form of a response to a future solicitation announcement.
