- The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract with Parametric Technology Corporation for the renewal of maintenance support with Pro Engineer software. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. ParametricTechnologyCorporation is considered the only supplier. Since the software used is Pro Engineer by Parametric Technology Corporation, the maintenance and support is run at peak performance by Parametric Technololgy Corporation. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
