- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued, paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. This is a commercial solicitation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found in FAR Part 13, solicitation no. is F1U3C68348A001 and is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) on 19 December 2008. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23. FAR clause descriptions are available via the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. The set-aside for this solicitation is 100% small business. NAICS code: 532490. Size Standard: $7 Mil. This solicitation is for the following: Rental of one 563E Vibratory Soil compactor for the period of 12 months with one additional option year. Compactor will be equipped with heated cab, ROPS/FPLs cab, 84" drum width, 50" diameter drum, 2005 or newer model, 150 hp minimum, operating weight between 24,500 and 26,500 lbs, and rotating beacon. Contractor will supply all operational fluids and maintenance at no additional cost. Contractor will provide own transportation to and from Blair Lakes Range in order to do maintenance and services to rental. The estimated date of delivery will be 20 January 2009 with FOB: Destination for delivery to 354 CES/CEF; Eielson AFB, AK 99702. The Government will award a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: low price and technical acceptability.
