- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fedbizopps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. Offerors are encouraged to access information also available on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. NAVSURFWARCEN Crane Division has a requirement for the procurement the following:1.CLIN 0001: Final Acceptance Test System for the MK82 Director including installation, testing and training, Qty 1 lot2.CLIN 0002: GYRO Block Assembly Test System includes hardware, drawings, and software package for the GYRO Test Box, Qty 1 lot 3.CLIN 0003: Workbooks and work packages for manufacture; quality assurance and test for the MK82 Director, Qty 1 lot1.CLIN 0004: Tooling, Fixtures and Equipment for manufacture of the MK82 Director, Qty 1 lot The Government anticipates award of a non-commercial, firm fixed price contract with delivery 30 days after contract award. As the test systems and associated items are determined to be non-commercial items FAR Part 12 will not be utilized for this procurement. Anticipated delivery will be FOB Destination, NSWC Crane Division, Crane, IN 47522. Inspection and acceptance with be at destination. Solicitation N00164-09-R-GR59 will be issued on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Marion Operations, 128 Johnston Road, Marion, VA 24354. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the d! iscretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. RFP will be available for download at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm on or about 23 Dec 2008. Closing date will be on or about 23 Jan 2009. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation to be considered. Submitting a bid from the NECO web site by clicking on the "Submit Bid" does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of Offerors to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane to be considered.
