- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern California Healthcare System (VA), plans to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for a contractor to provide urgent and emergent, outpatient and inpatient medical and surgical services and maternity services to patients referred to the contractor's facility by VA telephone care or VA attending physicians, in Redding, California. The contractor will provide facilities, equipment and staff to perform this coverage seven days a week, 24 hours per day including holidays. NAICS code 622110 applies with a size standard of $31.5 million. This solicitation will be an unrestricted acquisition. At this point, only two sources are known in Redding, CA that are capable of providing these services (Mercy Medical Center and Shasta Regional Medical Center). The contract will include an approximate one-year basic period, with four one-year options. The solicitation number for this RFQ is VA-261-09-RQ-0084. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 10, 2009 with an anticipated proposal due date of January 23, 2009.
