- The U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring ½ inch (normal diameter), Type 1, general purpose, Class 2, 6x19 Wire Rope to be fabricated and delivered to various U. S. Coast Guard Units located throughout the Mid-West surrounding areas. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to fabricate and delivery Wire Rope to various U. S. Coast Guard Units located throughout the Mid-West surrounding areas including USCGC CHENA, Hickman, KY, USCGC OBION, Owensboro, KY, USCGC GREENBRIER, Natchez, MS, USCGC KANKAKEE, Memphis, TN, USCGC OSAGE, Sewickley, PA, USCGC CHEYENNE, ST. Louis, MO, USCGC WEDGE, Demopolis, AL, USCGC Muskingum, Sallisaw, OK, USCGC CIMARRON, Buchanan, TN, USCGC CHIPPEWA, Buchanan, TN, USCGC KANAWHA, Pine Bluff, AR, USCGC PATOKA, Greenville, MS, USCGC KICKAPOO, Vicksburg, MS and USCGC SAGAMON, Peoria, IL. The contractor shall be available to deliver the Wire Rope between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No deliveries are to be made on Saturdays, Sundays or legal Federal Holidays. The base contract period of performance will begin on February 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010, with four one-year ordering periods (if exercised by the Government) not to exceed a total of 60 months. This requirement will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. The applicable NAICS code is 332618 (Other Fabricated Wire Product Manufacturing) with a size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. An Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm-Fixed Unit Price with Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) contract will be awarded. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr2000.com or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Any correspondence concerning this requirement shall reference Request For Quote (RFQ) Number HSCG84-08-Q-AA8289. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be available electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about December 29, 2008 with a closing date for receipts of quotes by January 6, 2009, 4:00 pm Eastern. No paper copies of the solicitation and or amendments will be distributed. All vendors will be responsible for obtaining the solicitation and any subsequent amendments from that site.
