Description

Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to conduct sole source procurement with Vandyke Software, Inc. The Contractor shall provide secure encrypted access to the UNIX environment from the NT desktop. The software is installed on windows systems and is used to encrypt data over LAN/WAN. This software contains proprietary data that is not available to other sources. This is not a Request for Quote and no solicitation will be published. The Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Interested parties may provide a written response to this Notice, to be received by the IRS no later than 1:00 P.M. EST December 23, 2008. Responses that clearly demonstrate the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government will be considered. However the final decision lies solely with the Government in this matter. Any questions should be directed to Margaret Baker, Contract Specialist, in writing, via e-mail:Margaret.Baker@irs.gov. If no written response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government. IRS will negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis to Vandyke Software, Inc.
